AtomDB Kappa Model (ACX)

The AtomDB team is happy to announce the release of the first AtomDB model for non-Maxwellian electron energy distributions. We have released the package, called Kappa, to model Kappa distributed electron energies.

This projects was due to work by Xiaohong Cui.The method is to sum Maxwellians to represent a non-Maxwellian electron distribution. The code relies on the PyAtomDB code to obtain spectra for a range of kappas and temperatures. The package can be downloaded from Github, with documentation here.
